IHM, Guwahati Recruitment 2020: Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Guwahati has released a notification for the recruitment of 4 faculty posts .

1. Lecturer
No of posts: 01 (UR)

Salary: Pay matrix Rs. 44900/- – 142400/- , Level- 7
Educational & other Qualification: Post Graduate in Hospitality / Tourism or MBA from a recognized University / Institute.
and
Full time Degree/Full time three years Diploma in Hotel Administration/Hospitality Management/Hotel Management/Hospitality Administration/Culinary Arts/Culinary Science with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from:
i) NCHMCT or NCHMCT affiliated Institute OR
ii) An Institute approved by AICTE, OR
iii) An Institute approved by the State Board of Technical Education. OR
iv) An Institute affiliated to University duly recognized by UGC. OR
v) Central/State/Deemed to be University recognized by UGC. OR
vi) Equivalent degree/Diploma of foreign university/,Institute recognized by AIU.

Age: Not exceeding 40 years, (as on 01.01.2020), Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST and departmental candidates and departmental candidates or as specified for any other category by Govt. of India from time to time.

2. Asst. Lecturer
No of posts: 02 nos. – 1 (UR), 1 (ST)

Salary: Pay matrix Rs. 35400/- - 112400/-, Level - 6

Educational & other Qualification:

Category A: Post Graduate in Hospitality / Tourism or MBA from a recognized University / Institute.
and
Full time Degree/Full time three years Diploma in Hotel Administration/Hospitality Management/Hotel Management/Hospitality Administration/Culinary Arts/Culinary Science with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from:
i) NCHMCT or NCHMCT affiliated Institute OR
ii) An Institute approved by AICTE, OR
iii) An Institute approved by the State Board of Technical Education. OR
iv) An Institute affiliated to University duly recognized by UGC. OR
v) Central/State/Deemed to be University recognized by UGC. OR
vi) Equivalent degree/Diploma of foreign university/,Institution recognized by AIU.

Category B: Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Administration / Hotel Management /Culinary Art from a recognized university / Institute securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate and at least 2 years of Hospitality Industry experience and also should have qualified NHTET with prescribed percentage, conducted by NCHMCT.

Age: Not exceeding 35 years (as on 01.01.2020). Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC, ST and departmental candidates or as specified for any category by Government of India from time to time.

3. Teaching Associates
No of posts: 01 (SC)

Salary: Consolidated Associateship amount of Rs.25,000/- per month
Educational & other Qualification: Full time Master’s Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Administration / Hotel Management / Culinary Art securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institute after a full time degree (of minimum of 3 years duration) in Hospitality / Hotel Administration/Hotel Management / Culinary art, securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University/ Institute and should have qualified NHTET with prescribed percentage, conducted by NCHMCT
OR
Full time Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma of minimum 3 years duration for which minimum pre requisite qualification is 12th passed as framed by regular/University in Hospitality / Hotel Administration/Hotel Management/ Culinary Art from a recognized University / Institute securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate and at least 2 years of hospitality industry experience and also should have qualified NHTET with prescribed percentage, conducted by NCHMCT.

Age: Not exceeding 30 years, (as on 01.01.2020). Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST & PD and as specified for other categories by Govt. of India from time to time.

Method of Selection:
Lecturer: Practical & Teaching Skill Test & Written Test
Asst. Lecturer & T.A.: NHTET/Ph.D. followed by practical Skill & Teaching Skill Test.

Application Fee: A DD from Nationalized Bank of Rs. 300/-as processing fees drawn in favour of, Institute of Hotel Management, Guwahati payable at Guwahati (non-refundable) be attached with application form. Person applying for more than one post should send separate application for each post attaching separate demand drafts in each application. SC/ST and women candidates are exempted from paying processing fee.

How to apply: Interested persons who fulfill the prescribed conditions may apply by sending duly signed application in the prescribed format along with attested copy of certificates including proof for date of birth, caste certificate & self attested photo affixed in the application addressed to the Principal, Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Guwahati, VIP Road, Upper Hengrabari, Barbari, Guwahati-781036 so as to reach on or before 15-02-2020 up to 5.00 PM.
