Syllabus & Guide BooksAs of now you all aware of that Irrigation Department, Assam has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 643 vacant posts under the establishment of Chief engineer and various District level offices. Today, in this article we will discuss about the selection process, syllabus and guide books for Irrigation Department, Assam Recruitment 2020.

1. Subordinate Engineer, Grade-I (Civil)
2. Subordinate Engineer, Grade-I (Mechanical)
3. Junior Assistant (HOD Level)
4. Junior Assistant (District Level)
5. Section Assistant (District Level)
6. Power Pump Operator
7. Primary Investigator
● OMR based written examination will be held for all category of posts.
● Wherever applicable, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency test/Skill test the date and venue of which will be notified later on.
● Selection of candidates shall be on the basis of OMR based written test and Computer proficiency test (as applicable).
● There will not be any Viva-Voce in the selection process against any of the posts.
Syllabus:
In this part, we will discuss about the individual syllabuses for each posts:
Junior Assistant (HoD Level and District Level):
● The Candidates will be selected on the basis of combined tests i.e. written examination (Objective type multiple choice) and Computer Test.
● The candidates will have to attend 250 objective type questions in the written test.
● For every correct answer the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
● Duration : 2 hours 30 minutes
● The candidates will have to attend 250 objective type questions in the written test.
● For every correct answer the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
● Duration : 2 hours 30 minutes
Section Assistant:
● The Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination (Objective type multiple choice).
● The candidates will have to attend 100 objective type questions in the written test.
● For every correct answer the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
● Except in General English, questions will be set both in English and Assamese.
● Duration : 2 hours
Subordinate Engineer-I (Civil/Mechanical):
● The Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination (Objective type multiple choice) .
● The candidates will have to attend 100 objective type questions in the written test.
● For every correct answer the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
● Duration : 2 hours
Power Pump Operator:
● The Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination (Objective type multiple choice) .
● Except in General English, questions will be set both in English and Assamese .
● The candidates will have to attempt 75 objective type questions in the written test.
● For every correct answer the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
● Duration : 2 hours
Primary Investigator:
● The Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination (Objective type multiple choice) .
● The candidates will have to attempt 100 objective type questions in the written test.
● For every correct answer the candidate will be awarded 1(one) mark.
● Duration : 2 hours
Guide Books:
We enlist a list of books for the preparation of Irrigation Department, Assam Recruitment 2020 subject wise. Although you can go for any guide books available in the market, but this will never help you in clearing your concepts to crack future examinations.
