Eligibility Criteria of DECT Assam Recruitment:
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit: The applicant should not be below 18 years and above 40 years of age on 1st January, 2025. Candidates born not on or before 31.12.1984 and not later than 01.01.2007 are eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- Ex-serviceman: 2 years
- PWD: 10 years
Educational Qualification:
- Passed HSLC or equivalent qualification from recognized Board / Institution.
- Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate or National Trade Certificate in appropriate trade.
- 1 year Industrial/ Teaching Experience desirable.
Employment Exchange Registration: The applicant must have a valid employment exchange registration card of Assam.

Selection Process of DECT Assam Recruitment:
There shall be two phases in the selection process of Junior Instructor Posts in different ITI (s) of Assam:
Phase I:
The Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in an Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type written test to be held in Guwahati on a date to be notified later on. Duration of written test will be of 2 Hours. The test will be of 100 marks with hundred MCQ. Each question will carry 1 (one) marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The Multiple Choice Question will be comprised of following section-

Phase II:
Against each vacancy, 1:4 candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test category wise. After the written test, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear in a Skill Test in their concerned trade/subject to be held in Guwahati. Total marks for the Skill Test will be 50 Marks.

All the original documents i.e. Age proof Certificate, Caste Certificate (in case of reserved category candidates), Educational Qualification Certificates, Disability Certificate (in case of PwD candidates) and Declaration in Form-‘A’ under Rule 5(I) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019 along with a set of self-attested photostat copies of the documents of the qualified candidates will be verified before the Skill Test.
Final Selection:
The final merit list will be prepared posts and category wise on the basis of the total marks scored in Written Test and Skill Test. The selection list shall remain valid for a period of 12 months from the date of its publication for the purpose of appointment
