Posts Name: Class-l (Junior Grade) Home Guards
No. of posts: 22
Name of department/ Service: Assam Public Service Commission.
Scale of pay: Rs. 22000/- to Rs. 97000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 11800/-
Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification is Graduate in any discipline of a University recognized by Government. (Upload relevant all semester/year mark sheet reflecting the subjects and the final pass certificate)
Eligibility Criteria of APSC Assistant Engineer Posts
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residentship:
(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the online application form.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01.01-2026. The upper age limit is relaxable :
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered themselves in any of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms:
The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.

- General: Rs.297.20/-
- OBC/MOBC: Rs.197.20/-
- SC/ST/BPL/PWBD: Rs.47.20/-

Physical Standards:
Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards. Minimum distant vision must be 6/6 and 6/9 in both eyes without correction.
