Pay: Rs 30000/- per month
Educational Qualification:
a) Candidate must be a Graduate/ Post Graduate in Law or Doctorate in Law from any recognized University in India.
b) Candidate practicing at the Bar or having professional experience or literary works in Law to their credit would get preference.
Other Criteria of Gauhati High Court Recruitment
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age must be maximum 40 years as on last date of application.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- OBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- STP/ STH: 5 years
Employment Exchange Registration: Must possess a valid Registration number of Employment Exchange for the State of Assam.
Official Language Proficiency: The candidate should have knowledge of the Official Language of the State of Assam (Assamese).
Selection Procedure
Stage 1: Written Examination (Descriptive type) for 100 marks of 2 (two) hours duration on Answer sheets testing the proficiency in English language and Assamese language.
Stage 2: Viva voce/Interview of 30 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) may get call to appear in the interview. A candidate shall have to secure atleast 60% marks in the interview i.e. 18 out of 30 marks in the interview in order to be eligible.
