1. Private Secretary (Stenographer Grade-I)
No of posts: 3 posts
Pay: PB-4, ₹30,000 – ₹1,10,000 GP: ₹13,300
Age Limit:
- OBC/ MOBC: 41 years
- STP/ STH: 43 years
- PWBD: 48 years
2. Chauffeur (Driver)
No of posts: 1 post
Pay: PB-2, ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 GP: ₹5,200
Age Limit:
- UR: 40 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 43 years
- SC/ ST: 45 years
- PWBD: 50 years
3. Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)
No of posts: 1 post
Pay: PB-1, ₹12,000 – ₹52,000 GP: ₹3,900
Age Limit:
- UR: 40 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 43 years
- SC/ ST: 45 years
- PWBD: 50 years
4. Stenographer Grade-II
No of posts: 35 posts
Pay: PB-3, ₹22,000 – ₹97,000 GP: ₹9,700
Age Limit:
- UR: 18 to 40 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 18 to 43 years
- SC/STP/ STH: 18 to 45 years
- PWBD: 18 to 50 years
Other Criteria of Gauhati High Court Recruitment
Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age must be maximum 40 years as on last date of application.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- OBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- STP/ STH: 5 years
Employment Exchange Registration: Must possess a valid Registration number of Employment Exchange for the State of Assam.
Official Language Proficiency (Stenographer Grade-II): The candidate should have knowledge of the Official Language of the State of Assam (Assamese).
Selection Procedure
Stage 1: Written Examination (Descriptive type) for 100 marks of 2 (two) hours duration on Answer sheets testing the proficiency in English language and Assamese language.
Stage 2: Viva voce/Interview of 30 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) may get call to appear in the interview. A candidate shall have to secure atleast 60% marks in the interview i.e. 18 out of 30 marks in the interview in order to be eligible.
