NID Assam Recruitment 2026
1. Name of post: Master Craftsman (Bamboo & Cane)
No. of posts: 1
Essential Qualifications:
- SSC, preferably with ITI in relevant or allied trade with 10(Ten) years post qualification experience in bamboo and cane crafts. OR
- Diploma in relevant or allied trade with 5 (Five) years post qualification experience in bamboo and cane crafts.
- Relevant Experience in training or certification in bamboo/cane craft with large-scale craft installations or exhibition work, working with MSMEs, artisan groups, or craft organizations.
Age: Upper age limit 55 years (May be relaxed for deserving candidates).
Remuneration: ₹ 40,000 per month (Consolidated)
Tenure/Duration of the work: Initially for 6 months to 1 year. May be extended further depending on the performance of the candidate as per requirement of the institute.
2. Name of post: Principal Designer (Professor)
No. of posts: 3
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree /Post Graduate Diploma in Design from a recognized University/ Reputed Institution.
Minimum Experience: Minimum ten years in relevant field of Design
Age: Not exceeding 55 years, as on the last date of application.
Desirable: PhD in Design with relevant academic & design practice experience / relevant design research experience/ relevant industry experience/ relevant experience in academic administration. High calibre portfolio of work in academics/practise and held senior positions in professional academic/ industry career.
Pay Level 13: Rs. 123100 - 215900/-
3. Name of post: Senior Designer (Associate Professor)
No. of posts: 3
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree /Post Graduate Diploma in Design from a recognized University / Reputed Institution.
Minimum Experience: Minimum ten years in relevant field of Design
Age: Not exceeding 50 years, as on the last date of application.
Desirable: PhD in Design with relevant academic & design practice experience / relevant design research experience/ relevant industry experience/ relevant experience in academic administration. High calibre portfolio of work in academics/practise and held senior positions in professional academic/industry career.
Pay Level 12: Rs. 78800- 209200/-
4. Name of post: Associate Senior Designer (Assistant Professor)
No. of posts: 2
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree /Post Graduate Diploma in Design from a recognized University / Reputed Institution.
Minimum Experience: Minimum seven years in relevant field of Design
Age: Not exceeding 50 years, as on the last date of application.
Desirable: PhD in Design with relevant academic & design practice experience/ relevant design research experience/ relevant industry experience. High calibre portfolio of work in academics/ practise and held senior positions in professional academic/ industry career.
5. Name of post: Faculty/ Designer
No. of posts: 5
Essential Qualifications: Degree / Diploma in Design from a recognized University/ Reputed Institution.
Minimum Experience: Minimum five years in the relevant field of Design
Age: Not exceeding 45 years, as on the last date of application.
Desirable: Post Graduate Degree / Post Graduate Diploma in Design. Relevant academic/ design practice experience. High calibre creative portfolio of work in academics/practice.
Pay Level 10: Rs. 56100- 177500/-
