Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree or M. Tech. in Geography, Geoinformatics, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, GIS or a closely related discipline from a recognized University/ Institution.
- Candidates possessing a Ph.D. in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, GIS or a relevant field will be preferred.
Experience:
- Relevant academic and/ or industry experience in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, spatial data analysis and related applications will be desirable.
- Experience in handling real-world geospatial projects, industry-oriented applications and collaborative research will be an added advantage.
Desirable Skills:
Candidates should preferably possess:
- Proficiency in GIS softrarare such as ArcGIS, QGIS and related geospatial platforms.
- Practical knowledge of Remote Sensing and image processing.
- Experience in handling Total Station, DGPS, GNSS, Drone/UAV and other modern surveying instruments.
- Expertise in spatial data analysis, geospatial modelling and cartographic techniques.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and R.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques and their applications in geospatial data analysis.
- Experience in Google Earth Engine (GEE), spatial modelling and geospatial data visualization will be an added advantage.
- Ability to integrate emerging geospatial technologies into teaching, training and research.
Remuneration: Rs. 38,000/- per month (Fixed)
