Eligibility Criteria for GU Recruitment 2024
Educational Qualification:
I) Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC):
1) Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution.
2) Adequate knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit: Must not be above 38 years as on the last date of application.
II) Associate Professor:
1) A good academic record, with a Ph. D in Demography/Population Studies/Statistics/Economics/ Mathematics/Sociology/Psychology/Anthropology/Geography.
2) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed)
3) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/ or research in a academic research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria in Appendix II, Table 2.
4) Subject: Master’s Degree in Demography/Population Studies/Statistics/Economics/
Mathematics/Sociology/Psychology Anthropology/Geography. Persons with P.G. Degree other than Demography/Population Studies should have completed a minimum one year regular course in Demography/population studies at a recognized institution/University.
Application Fee of Gauhati University Recruitment 2024
I) For Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC):
Candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five Hundred) only through SBI Collect as an application fee for the post.
II) For Associate Professor:
Applicants for the will be required to pav an amount of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand) only. For SC/ST candidates, the application-fee is Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) only.
