Civil Defence Volunteers Recruitment 2025 – 60 Posts @Chirang District
The Office of the District Commissioner & Controller of Civil Defence, Chirang, has invited application for selection as 60 Civil Defence Volunteers. As per the guidelines from the Home & Political Department, Government of Assam, interested candidates can attend a Walk-in Interview on 10 December 2025 from 10:30 AM onwards. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here.
The selected volunteers will undergo training at Guwahati under the Director General of Civil Defence & Commandant General of Home Guards, Assam, Beltola. This service is voluntary, and no remuneration will be paid.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Defence Volunteers Posts
Candidates must meet the following criteria to appear in the interview:
Age Limit: Age group-As per CD Regulations, however, preferably age between 18 and 50 years.
Residential Requirement: Must be a resident of Chirang District.
Educational Qualification: As per CD Regulations, however preferably 10th Pass or above.
Physical & Mental Fitness: Must be in good physical, mental, and emotional health (able-bodied)
Selection Process & Marks Distribution
The walk-in interview carries 30 marks divided as follows:
Candidates must bring original documents for verification during the interview.
Important Notes
- Total Vacancies: 60 Civil Defence Volunteers for Chirang District
- Documents: Bring originals of educational certificates, experience certificates & age proof
- Canvassing: Any direct/indirect influence will lead to disqualification
- Expenses: Candidates must attend the interview at their own expense; no TA/DA provided
- Authority Rights: Selection may be cancelled or suspended by the District Commissioner if required
- Women Reservation: Minimum 30% lady volunteers will be selected
- Nature of Service: This is a voluntary service and no remuneration will be paid
