Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the official notification of Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December-2022 / June-2023 for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities. On behalf of CSIR, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct Joint CSIR-UGC NET Exam. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here .
Joint CSIR UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.

Eligibility Criteria of CSIR UGC NET Exam
Age Limit:
JRF: Maximum 28 years as on 01/07/2023* {upper age limit may be relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/Third gender/Persons with Disability (PwD)/female applicants and 03 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants}.

Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B. Tech/ B. Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% (without rounding off) marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and 50% (without rounding off) for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55%^ (without rounding off) marks for General (UR)/General-EWS; 50%^ (without rounding off) marks for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply.
B.E./ B.S./ B.Tech./ B.Pharma/ MBBS final year/result awaited candidates are eligible to apply for fellowship only. These candidates will not be eligible for Lectureship/Assistant professor. B.Sc. (Hons.) final year/Result awaited candidates are not eligible to apply.
