Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has released the official notification of Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 to select suitable candidates for admission into B.Sc. Nursing course in both Govt. and private institutes of Assam for the session 2026. The CEE is scheduled to be held on 7th June 2026 in various exam centres across the state and a few specific centres in other North Eastern States.
It is to be noted that, the same CEE score will also be used to select eligible candidates for other courses like D. Pharm, B.Pharm, Allied & Healthcare (B.Sc. Medical Technology) Courses in both the Government and Private Institutes of Assam.

Eligibility Criteria for SSUHS BSc Nursing Admission:
Eligibility criteria for admission in to B.Sc. Nursing course is as follows:
Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.
Residentship: A Permanent Resident Certificate is mandatory for admission in to the Govt. Institutes of Assam.
Age Limit: Candidate must be minimum 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought, i.e., 31 December 2026. The upper age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
Gender: In case of the Govt. Institutes of Assam, male candidates are not eligible for admission. Such clause may not be applicable in case of private institutes; the same may be verified by candidates himself/ herself.
Colour Blindness: Colour blind candidates are also eligible. Such candidates must worn colour corrective contact lens and spectacles.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must fulfill following educational qualification/s.

a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2), must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. The candidate must have pass marks in English.
b) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
c) English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
