Publication Board Assam Recruitment Details

1. Name of post: Accounts Assistant

No. of posts: 01

Educational qualification: The candidate must be commerce graduate having minimum 50% of marks and must have diploma in Computer from Govt. recognised institutions.

Experience: Minimum 02 years working experience in any Govt/ Private organization in the field of Accounts. He/ She must have knowledge in Tally PRIME and Excel. CA (Inter) will get 20 marks extra.

Age as on 01-01-2026: Maximum age is 40 years. Relaxation of upper age is considerable as per norms of Assam Government.

Remuneration: Rs. 28,500/- per month with minimum @5% of annual enhancement of salary.

Application fee: Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three hundred) only which may be deposited in favour of the Secretary, Publication Board Assam through demand draft of any nationalized Bank payable at Guwahati.

Selection Procedure:

(a) Phase I: Out of the total applicants, maximum 40 candidates shall be shortlisted on the basis of 100

marks as follows:

50 marks on aggregate percentage of marks in B.Com.
30 marks on aggregate percentage of marks in HSSLC.
20 marks for CA(Inter).

(b) Phase II: There shall be:

Written examination (OMR base) for 50 marks;

(c) Phase III: Out of shortlisted (maximum 40) candidates, maximum 10 candidates shall be selected

for the following test/ Viva-voce.

Computer practical test for 20 marks; and
Viva-voce for 30 marks.

2. Name of post: Driver

No. of posts: 01

Educational qualification: The candidate must pass HSLC or equivalent examination from recognised Board and Driving License for driving Light Motor Vehicle issued by the competent authority under the Government of Assam.

Experience: Minimum 05 years’ experience in any Govt/ Board/ Corporation etc. under the Government of Assam.

Age as on 01-01-2026: Maximum age is 40 years. Relaxation of upper age is considerable as per norms of Assam Government.

Remuneration: Rs. 21,500/- per month with minimum @ 5% of annual enhancement of salary.

Application fee: Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred) only which may be deposited in favour of the Secretary, Publication Board Assam through demand draft of any nationalized Bank payable at Guwahati.

Selection Procedure: Selection shall be made on the basis of interview and driving test.

Self-attested Copies of Documents:

(a) Pass certificate of HSLC or Matriculation Examination.

(b) Mark-sheet and pass certificate of HSSL Examination.

(d) Mark-sheet and pass certificate of CA(Inter) Examination.

(e) Experience certificate from present employer.

(f) Copy of demand draft showing deposit of application fee.

(g) Driving Licence (For Driver Post).
