Eligibility Criteria of Indian Army Recruitment
Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years 6 months and not more than 22 years. Candidate born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation: Upper Age limit will be relaxable upto 30 yrs of age (as on date of joining training) in respect of widows of Defence personnel who have died in harness.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must be Class 10th /Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate of five basic subjects and min 33% marks in each of those five subjects. For boards following grading system, grades commensurate to percentages, as Above, will be considered.
For Indian Gorkha women, the educational qualification is Class 10th simple pass.
Widow Women: Women who are widowed, divorced or legally separated are also eligible provided they do not have any children subject to fulfilling all other eligibility criteria.
Physical Standards:
(a) Height: 162 cms.
(b) Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical standards.
(c) Chest Expansion: The candidates should be capable of chest expansion of 05 cms.
Special Physical Standards: Candidates belonging to following regions will be given 4 cms height relaxation:
