Eligibility Criteria of National Insurance Recruitment

Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 21 to 30 years as on 1st July 2026. Candidates born not earlier than 02.07.1996 and not later than 01.07.2005 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

• SC/ ST: 5 years
• OBC/ NCL: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years 
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

Educational Qualification:  Candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Local Language Proficiency: Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential. To ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State / UT, a Regional Language Test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.

NICL Assistant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

As specified in the Notification PDF, the various stages of the NICL Assistant Recruitment 2026 selection process are as follows:

Candidates who qualify for the Mains Examination will be further shortlisted for the Regional Language Test.

Preliminary Examination:

 

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by the company.

Candidates shortlisted in the online Main Examination will subsequently be called for Regional Language Test to be conducted by the Company. Candidates applying for vacancy under State / UT other than their domiciled State / UT, have to appear and qualify the Regional Language Test in the language of State / UT for which they have applied.
