CGST & Customs Guwahati Recruitment:
1. Tax Assistant
No of posts: 01 [UR]
Educational Qualification:
1) Degrees from the recognized University or equivalent.
2) Should have basic knowledge in the use of computer applications.
3) Should possess a data entry speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour.
Note: The speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry work is to be judged by conducting a speed test on the Electronic data processing machine
Pay (As per 7th CPC): Level-4 in the pay matrix (Rs.25,500 -81,100)
2. Havaldar
No of posts: 10 [UR: 9, OBC: 1]
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized Board.
Note: Candidates will be required to possess the physical standards and pass physical tests as specified in the new Recruitment Rules.
Pay (As per 7th CPC): Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs.18,000 -56,900)
Other Criteria of Central GST Guwahati Recruitment:
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: The candidate must be of 18 to 27 years of age on 13/09/2025. However, relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in the case of those belonging to SC/ST category)
Sports Qualification: The proficiency will be evaluated on the basis of their participation in recognized tournaments/events in the calendar years 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2O21 and 2O2O. Certificates of participation/achievements for which concerned forms issued by concerned Authorities are not enclosed, will not be considered for evaluating the proficiency.

b) Physical Copy of the application, neatly typed on a plain paper in the prescribed formats, enclosed as 'Annexure-A' & 'Annexure-B', along with all requisite enclosures , as provided in this Recruitment Advertisement/Notice should reach the address mentioned above by post or by hand by 06:00 PM on or before 13/09/2025 (20/09/2025 till 06:00 PM for the candidates domiciled in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh).
c) The applicant should enclose attested copies of the following certificates:-
- Matriculation/ SSC or equivalent certificate for proof of age
- Education qualification Certificate.
- Sports/ games certificates/ forms as mentioned in Annexure-A (Form-l,2,3,4,5)
- Caste certificate (in support of claim)
- NOC from present employer, if applicable.
- Aadhar Card
- Recent Passport Size Photo (to be affixed on the application form).
