Eligibility Criteria of Assam Rifles Recruitment
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation/ 12th (as applicable). Required knowledge of respective trades (as applicable) from a recognized Board.
Age Limit: Age of the candidates should be between 18 to 23 years. More details will be available once detailed official notification releases.
Age Relaxation: The Upper age relaxation is up to 5 years for OBC/ General category candidates, 10 years for SC/ST candidates.
Applicability: Only one dependent family member of Assam Rifles personnel is eligible if the personnel was:
- Killed in Action
- Died while in Service
- Discharged on Medical Grounds
- Missing while in Service
The following constitute dependent family members:
(a) Spouse, or
(b) Son (including adopted son), or
(c) Daughter (including adopted daughter),or
(d) Brother or sister in the case of unmarried Govt employee who was wholly dependent on him at the time of death in harness or retirement on medical grounds, as the case may be.
