Name of department/ Service: Assam Public Service Commission
Scale of pay: PB-4, Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 17500/-
Educational Qualification:
Candidates who have completed their graduation in regular mode from a UGC recognized institution. Any applicant who has completed bachelors degree through distant mode of learning will not be considered eligible to apply for the posts.
Experience:
A person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than 10 years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
Eligibility Criteria of APSC Assistant Engineer Posts
Citizenship:
Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Residentship:
(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate as proof of residency along with the online application form.
Age Limit:
a) For Member of the Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Non Judicial) the candidates should not be less than 40 years of age as on 01/01/02025.
b) For Member of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission the candidates should not be less than 35 years of age as on 01/01/02025.
Age Relaxation:
The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years

Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must be registered themselves in any of the employment exchanges of Assam.
Small Family Norms:
The candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the post.

- General: Rs.297.20/-
- OBC/MOBC: Rs.197.20/-
- SC/ST/BPL/PWBD: Rs.47.20/-
